Praying Season

I wasn't much of a prayer. In July 2023, I had prayed for something that is labelled "an act of God" and it happen. I prayed for something else and it came true. I knew that prayer with focus and intent was the way, but I never had a reason to practice it. Now I can't stop. When I feel anxiety about anything that I can result in my becoming hyper focus, I just pray about it with my whole heart. Sometimes I journal about it because seeing the words is important when I can't pray for long at work. Afterward, I let it be. I try not to "bother God" and be more patience. That is what I learned directly and indirectly last year. Have patience. It is amazing how things happen when they do. Not on my time, but always right on time.  🙏🏾

*This post wasn't grammar checked at all. Good luck making sense of it. 😅

Exciting Moment

I play Diablo Immortals. My character is weak. I wanted to share this because this is the best I ever done in Battleground.

2FA Authentication Warning

As a public service announcement, never lose your backup codes. If possible don’t turn it on. Instead, create a 20-50 long complex password and have your devices save them. Also, sign up for a password manager like Last Pass. Some companies are short staffed and may not be able to help resolve your account blunder as soon as you would like. Also, don’t get mad at the company when you are the one that didn’t keep up with your backup keys. They are doing exactly what is needed to keep your data safe.😔

My Wife Is a Demon Queen - Manga Review

During this pandemic time, I've found myself reading more than usual. I've added so many manga titles to my reading list. Many of them are 100+ chapters and ongoing. My Wife Is a Demon Queen is one of them as of today, it is 195 chapters. I am not sure how long it normally takes the creator to push out a new chapter, but it looks like there are 2 chapters a week. And boy am I happy. Based on the previous issue dates, I think the pandemic has given the creator so much time to focus on this manga.

The manga is stunning! Guys, it is in color. I rarely read a manga that is 100% in color.

The story starts off with this guy, Xiang Ye getting transport to another universe by the demon queen wizard. Unfortunately for him at that exact moment, the queen was being attacked by the human kingdom after being betrayed by someone that she trusted.  At that time, she also loses her power and is forced to "de-morph" to a being that is more humanlike. They escape her kingdom and, by luck, end up in the human kingdom that was attacking them. So they are in the human kingdom training and building up strength in order to take the demon queen's kingdom. I also think there is a plot to fix the corruption in the human kingdom.

Guys, there is more to the story though. Right now I am at a part where the storyline is getting way darker...and I mean dark the movie Jupiter Ascending dark. You should add this to your reading list. I give it a 8/10. I give it an 8 only because I think that Xiang Ye is too strong too fast. But really in the manga, 4 months did pass.

You can read the manga here. But I don't know much about the site, so use an Adblock extension.

Asian Nachos - A Copycat

Hey yall!

In my travels, I’ve dined in the charming coffee shop Stirred Catering and Coffee. If you are ever in that town, check them out. Anywho on Fridays, they have this dish call Asian Nachos. It’s delicious. In the back of my mind though, I thought it tasted like something that I’ve had before. Then, it came to me. It tasted like Jack Daniel’s Pulled Chicken. So, I decided to make it at home. It’s super simple.

You buy this Jack Daniels and some coleslaw mix. Mix it together and you're done. Don’t mix the entire bag of coleslaw though. You just eyeball that. I normally mix enough coleslaw to the point that the BBQ sauce coats it, but it isn’t dry. I also like to mix in some Tostitos chips too.

I separate it all out into 4 servings. It is about 300 calories and perfect for a quick snack. Yum! You should try it.

If you want it to be a bit sweeter though, buy Jack Daniel's Honey Pulled Chicken. I've made this first with that and I like it a bit better.

How I Learned to Cook Pinto Beans

So like most, I didn't cook much growing up. I had a sister that killed the vibe every time I wanted to try something. So now in my adult years, I am learning from the beginning. The only good thing is that I can follow instructions.

So here I am wanting to meal prep. I've learned that if I don't, I'll overspend on food. I am currently trying to live a more frugal and minimalistic life. While learning to be more frugal, I found this lady. She shows how to make pinto beans in the crockpot. I was like, "hell yeah." Food for days, here I come. Give it a try. I loved them.

Coming back

It's been years. If you guys don't know. I started this blog for extra credit in college.

So when reading all this, I am surprised how much of myself I put out there. I mean now I am a bit more paranoid about privacy. But should I be? So in order to be less dull, I am going to throw a bit of caution in the wind.

Starting this year, I will post at least once a month. Wish me luck!
